Contains 5% sheep blood, colistin, and trimethoprim sulfamethoxasole (SXT). For the selective isolation of Group A Strep only (S. pyogenes) and exhibits beta hemolysis. Inhibits other Streps, Gram-negative bacteria, and normal respiratory flora. Not to be used for group B strep or pneumococcus. Prepared plates.
